MacDiarmid Institute for Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology
The MacDiarmid Institute for Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology is concerned with high quality research in materials science and nanotechnology. The Institute is a collaborative venture, hosted by Victoria University of Wellington, encompassing the knowledge and expertise of leading researchers and research facilities from across New Zealand. Named after 2000 Nobel Chemistry Prize-Winner, New Zealander Alan MacDiarmid, the MacDiarmid Institute was formed in recognition of the importance of materials science and nanotechnolgy as areas of scientific/economic potential for New Zealand. It is governed by a Board with input from an International Advisory Board and a Science Executive Committee representing it researchers.
