Maurice Wilkins Centre principal investigator wins the Rutherford Medal (Nov 2009)

Professor Peter Hunter has been awarded New Zealand’s top science honour, the prestigious Rutherford Medal.
The Minister of Research, Science and Technology, Hon Dr Wayne Mapp, presented the medal to Professor Hunter at the Royal Society of New Zealand annual Science Honours Dinner in Auckland.

The Marsden Fund supports research excellence in science, technology, engineering and maths, social sciences and the humanities. In 2009 the Marsden Fund Council announced its largest investment ever of $66 million.
